PATTEN, Maine — State police say a man has been arrested after a hit-and-run crash in Patten involving a snowmobile.
The crash happened Thursday night. Police say a snowmobile operated by 39-year-old Ronald McGraw struck a tractor-trailer parked in an intersection.
His passenger, 27-year-old Michael Grant, suffered a possible broken leg in the crash.
Police say McGraw fled the scene of the crash on the snowmobile, leaving Grant behind. Grant later was taken by ambulance to Houlton Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Police say McGraw was found at his residence on Saturday and was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He faces charges of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
McGraw was taken to the Penobscot County Jail. It wasn’t immediately known whether he had an attorney.

Our tax dollars at work.
nobrainforme would be a better handle.
Why are you so angry?
I can think of worse things our tax dollars are at work doing, like paying “lazy” people to sit home and collect food stamps, monthly checks, rent, fuel must I go on…. while us working people are struggling to make monthly payments and such.
Our tax dollars at work producing these welfare addicted losers.
Sorry for the confusion.
How in the world do you make this connection?
Our tax dollars at work producing these welfare addicted losers.
Sorry for the confusion.
Yes, having a police force is funded by tax dollars. Is there more to your observation?

Sorry for the confusion.
At least he’s sober now….
Patten is in Penobscot county lol…
And your statement meaning……
what a tool
Nice friend leaving your buddy with a broken leg…….but when you are wanted ….you run.
If Ronald didnt have a phone on him he might have left to call for help…If he took his friend with him the injury would be worse…I dont really know just thinking…
he coulda used the Allens bottle as a splint, bandage him up and limp on home to call the cops !!
He didn’t have to take his friend with him, but why not go back to the scene after calling 911?
Love all the comments. Im sure it will give my mother more to cry about. If she hasnt already got enough.
Would you like to elaborate on why you left your buddy?
Love to read the comments below from the closet drinkers….You know who you are…..You thump the bible and drink in the closet…..They are the ones that assume this man was drinking before the accident… I find it comical..
Fine friend HE is….leaving someone injured behind…..
It’s what we used to call a “Blue Falcon”. can’t say what that stands for without being sensored but it’s pretty easy to figure out. Patten’s not that big of a town and it would have taken this guy only about 30 seconds to run to a house and knock on the door, tell them to call 911 and then go back to their buddy.
No one has a right to judge, assume things, and be rude about people they don’t know. I hope that your family or friends never do anything wrong to get in the paper cause I think you would be very hurt by people like yourselves.
Do any of you think of the families who are reading your comments when you post? How would you feel if someone were making assumptions and posting all of these negative comments about YOUR family member? I know this man and most of his family well – I’m willing to bet that the rest of you do not. Don’t jump in trying to stir up the comment board before you even stop to think about how what you said (with no information or knowledge of the situation) spur of the moment might hurt someone else.
I agree. I had one of his siblings a year behind me i highschool, and another who I actually graduated whom I knew especially well. They are a good family and do not deserve people making commnets when they do not completely know the facts. I commend you for making the comment you did and pointing out the things that you did.
McGraw was clearly not a Marine. You never leave anyone behind. Ever. McGraw is a coward and a disgrace.
Never laeve your buddies “behind”….LOL….
I bet the tractor trailor didnt move much…
Maybe Grant was the one who was actually driving at the time…
