BANGOR, Maine — A local man who is no stranger to police was arrested on Feb. 21 after police found him in the attic of a First Street apartment, Sgt. Paul Edwards said Tuesday.
Tyson Baron, 27, of Bangor, who also had four outstanding warrants for unpaid fines, now faces a felony burglary charge, Edwards said.
“The caller stated they could hear someone in the apartment above them,” the sergeant said.
Officer Rob Angelo went to the scene, and when backup units arrived, a search of the apartment building turned up Baron.
Baron was arrested, charged with Class B burglary and taken to the Penobscot County Jail, where he remained Tuesday.
Baron’s rap sheet includes convictions for drug possession, criminal speeding, driving to endanger, operating under the influence and two counts of driving with a suspended license, according to Bangor Daily News archives.
If convicted of the burglary charge, Baron could spend up to 10 years behind bars.
Maine needs a 3-strikes law.
