BANGOR, Maine — Anah Temple Shrine will host the Northeastern Shrine Association’s midwinter meeting March 16-18 at the Anah Shrine Center at 588 Main St.

During the meeting, members of Shrine Temples from New England and Canada will prepare for major festivities coming to Bangor this fall.

Bangor will host the Northeast Shrine Association Field Days from Sept. 12-16, an event expected to draw more than 10,000 Shriners, according to Anah Shrine Potentate Anthony Bowers, who is president of the association.

The nearly weeklong event will involve meetings, social activities and a two-hour parade through downtown Bangor featuring clowns, motor units, bands and marching units from all of the 15 Shrine Temples in the Northeast.
