BANGOR, Maine — Someone called police just before noon Saturday to say there were drunken people on top of the Thai Siam restaurant downtown, Bangor police Sgt. Ed Potter said Sunday.
Jarred Dimario, 20, and his friend were off the roof by the time police arrived, but he was arrested because he is out on bail and barred by court order from drinking alcohol, the sergeant said. The man he was with was not arrested.
Dimario, who was arrested in January with Justin Amos, 19, of Bangor for allegedly burglarizing a vehicle on Saratoga Avenue, was arrested for the bail violation and taken to Penobscot County Jail. He remained in jail at noontime Sunday, a jail official said.
Dimario has two convictions for burglary of a motor vehicle and a conviction for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer from 2010, according to court listings printed in the Bangor Daily News. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)

Just so we’re clear … it’s totally cool to drink on your OWN roof, right?
Not if conditions of your bail say no drinking.
You know you’re a redneck when…God help Maine.
Lol…Are you from The county?
Providing you aren’t on bail with restriction, you can drink on your own roof…..BUT…..it’s against the law to ride your riding lawn mower on your roof drunk I think. :OP
Damn well better be!
But if you find that it’s not, call me soon so I can at least get everyone dressed before the cops climb up here.
Awww, screw em Ed, tell the cops to shed their uniforms and cmon up for a beer!
Good lord, I sure hope so! The only way we have ocean view is when we’re sitting on our roof…Nothing like a glass of wine overlooking the water while sitting on your roof with the love of your life!
Well, you see judge we didn’t do any harm we wanted to work on our suntan.
Couple years back BPD had to climb up on this same roof to tell the two nude lesbian sunbathers that they had an audience in an adjacent building and it was time to get dressed and find somewhere else to eat lunch.
time for a new road he sucks at this trade
Guess these guys are not to bright. Last thing I would do is draw attention to myself drinking if I had bail condition saying no drinking. I remember being in a bar and the bouncer (bouncer also a cop in training )and cop who arrested me were talking about my Bail conditions . Lucky my bail conditions said no such thing Like a fool pointed that out to them . In my trial I asked the cop who arrested me if he new this man( who bragged about his buddy getting me) . looking of a loophole for probable cause. I was guilty maybe rightly so . That was no excuse for the cop saying I do not recall. You will never win fighting with cops . Just do the right thing and most will leave you alone. Lesson learned many years ago. Piece to those men I was wrong. The system is not perfect . I guess it never can be would you want someone to get away with murder? Oh wait some already do. Flag you if you must . Its my story and I am sticking to it.
Who is stupid enough that they are bail conditions that make it illegal for them to consume alcohol, but they are on top of a roof drinking 50 yards from the Bangor PD station. Idiots.
UMMMM…. wouldn’t that be underage drinking, also?
Thanks Carol King!
When this old world starts a getting me downAnd people are just too much for me to faceI’ll climb way up to the top of the stairsAnd all my cares just drift right into spaceOn the roof, it’s peaceful as can beAnd there the world below don’t bother me, no, no
Dingleberries on the hot tin roof!!!
Funny that he even has a bail condition to not have any alcohol….He is only 20, wouldn’t it be illegal no matter what?
Tattletales! Let the boys fly!
Fiddle farter on the Roof must be the new adaptation to the Russian musical, lead by a Maine parolee.
Yeah, everybody laughs, UNTIL one of the idiots fall or get hurt, and then some scumbag lawyer lines up to sue the property owner.
