  1. Yes, that’s why we lock our car, too, but once in a while we forget. We’re only human. Luckily, we didn’t have any valuables in the car, and they didn’t like our taste in music. :-)

  2. Locking my door is such second nature that when I visit The County every body laughs at me. I Drive German cars and you can’t push the button down when the door is open. That way you can’t lock yourself out.

I still get broken into on occasion (even though I never leave anything of value in the old crapper). But when ins. asks me if the car was locked and who locked it, they can’t complain.

Times are changing, folks. Protect yourselves a little bit whenever you can.

  3. No big surprise. As long as judges keep letting criminals out on probation and a fine (which they probably won’t pay and get yet another warrant), it’s going to keep getting worse. Bottom line is drug addiction. Addicts will do anything for their fix, including robbing their friends, families, and anyone else regardless of the consequences (of which there is sadly none).

  4. I’d like to be witness to “the deer in the headlights” scenario when I turn on over 2800 watts of yard lighting pointed directly to my vehicles parked in the yard and in the garage,  by way of motion detectors.  I’ll leave the rest of the comment up to you to decide what would happen next.

    1. After you illuminate the dooryard for the perp, he is able to see you clearly and able to put his cross hairs on you. He shoots you and you die. Is that the ending to your story?
