WATERVILLE, Maine — Police are continuing to investigate an Easter Sunday stabbing in which a man was hospitalized, Waterville Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey said Tuesday morning.
Michael Reed, 26, is at Maine Medical Center in Portland, according to Rumsey. A hospital spokeswoman had no update on his condition.
Reed was struck in the head with a piece of wood and stabbed in the back during a fight early Sunday morning, according to police.
“We do have a couple of strong leads,” Rumsey said. “We’re making progress.”
Rumsey said no arrests have been made as of noon Tuesday. Waterville police Detective Alan Perkins is leading the investigation.
