BANGOR, Maine — Maine Army National Guard soldier Sgt. 1st Class Robert Dorr of Greenbush was recognized for his 31 years of service to the nation in a recent ceremony at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Bangor, where Dorr worked as fuel handler.
Dorr served in multiple conflicts, including Desert Shield/Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dorr was presented with the Army Commendation medal for his accomplishments while serving with the 286th, along with a retirement U.S. flag, lapel pin and a commemorative shadow box.
