BANGOR, Maine — Hollywood Casino Hotel and Raceway has added two more gaming tables to deal with customer demand in time for the holiday weekend.
Just over two months after debuting 14 total table games, four of which were Texas Hold ’Em poker tables, the casino is adding two more poker tables.
“We received state approval to expand by two more tables,” said Dan Cashman, spokesman for Hollywood Casino. “We would routinely have waiting lists for people waiting to get on poker tables during busy nights, so the demand was there.”
According to figures supplied by Maine’s Gambling Control Board, net revenue for the entire casino was slightly down in April compared to March this year. Net revenue was $5,094,360.63 while March’s net was $5,779,788.56. So far this year, the casino’s to tal net revenue is $20,270,308.17.
The new tables are located adjacent to the existing poker tables in the Race Book lounge.
“Customers are excited to have a number of gaming options, from slots to blackjack to Texas Hold ’Em to harness racing,” said John Osborne, Hollywood Casino general manager. “As we enter into the holiday weekend and the busy tourist season, we are prepared for larger crowds to enter our doors.”

Why dont they say how much they pay out to the gamblers. It seems the pay outs should be huge if they are netting as much as they say.I am hearing a lot of complaints that they dont pay out very much. The progressive slots post what amount you can win but they seem to take a very long time to pay out .
You are joking right, Hollywood slots not pay out as much. Oops your right. They dont. There jackpots are jokes
The $.63 was mine, I bought some gum there.
Hollywood … casino? It looks like a mental hospital from the I-395 bridge approaching Bangor.
And Acadia looks like a very nice apartment complex from I-95 so what does that tell you?
We elect people to run the government and to protect us from predators, yet when it comes to gambling our representives incourge the deception of the comsumers..
The gaming board is a appointed board that works for free, So tell me why these people would run each other over to sit on that board… use your imagination…
People sitting on the PUC have written laws for the wind power industry got it passed and then went to work for wind power companies.
George Hale had the Racino advertize on his radio show while he was sitting on the Gaming board as chair. Hale got bonuses from the station… The AG under John Baldacci said it was OK .. Of course Hale recieved $150.000 per year plus, plus as a advisor for John Baldacci.. It’s like a spider web… and goes on and on. What is wrong with these pictures??
That’s what happens when the press no longer does it’s job and is just an arm for one political party that has had complete controll for 35 years….Oh and the State Lottery takes MUCH more from the poor which is even worse IMHO..AKA “the stupid tax”…HC is a saint compared to The Maine State Lottery IMHO…
Once Hollywood’s, oops, i mean Bangor’s Arena is built you can bet that shows will be run by Hollywood Casino bringing in even more dough. How long before we see Vegas Showgirls, Vegas style shows, and even more corruption amongst the politicians in this area and state? I predict that with this Bangor will become the cesspool it is aiming for and the honest hard working people will be scurrying to sell houses and get out of dodge before its too late. Its already been happening.
