BANGOR, Maine — A Massachusetts man with local ties waived indictment Wednesday and pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to selling crack cocaine.

Taleek Lemont McFadden, 23, of Brockton, Mass., and Bangor was arrested May 18 and charged with distribution of a mixture or substance containing cocaine base. He pleaded guilty to that count Wednesday.

McFadden also is known by the nicknames “Dante” and “Big,” according to court documents.

He came to the attention of agents with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency in December when they worked with a confidential informant who bought crack cocaine from McFadden in Bangor. That transaction was recorded by agents, according to court documents.

McFadden, who has been held without bail since his arrest in May on the federal charge, will continue to be detained until his sentencing.

A sentencing date has not been set.

McFadden faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million.

  1. First off, if people are stupid enough to use this crap then we should find out who the users are… These people are insane and should be deported to Chicago… Without the users there would be no need for  dealers

  2. Being named Taleek is almost an obligation to sell crack out on the streets. I mean seriously… Hopefully he wasn’t named after anyone!
