BELFAST, Maine — A man and a woman both were charged after a late-night ATM run that didn’t end smoothly.
Anthony R. Knight, 46, of Belfast, had been with Latisha Robert, 25, of Searsport, at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday when she reportedly decided he needed to give her $200, according to Detective Sgt. Bryan Cunningham of the Belfast Police Department.
“They got in the vehicle,” he said. “She thought they were going to the ATM. They didn’t go to the ATM. So, she punched him in the car and gave him a shiner.”
Knight then drove directly to the police department, where both ended up being arrested. Knight was charged with violation of his conditions of release from a previous incident, in which he was charged with domestic violence assault on Robert. His bail conditions included having no contact with the woman.
Robert was charged with domestic violence assault.
Both were taken to Waldo County Jail in Belfast, where they were booked and then released on bail.
Robert’s bail was set at $400 unsecured cash and Knight’s bail was $500 unsecured, according to a jail official.

Gee, sounds like they’re made for each other!
I’d prefer to believe that the word “car” in “punched him in the car” is code for something Det. Sgt. Cunningham knew wouldn’t get past Ms. Curtis’s editor, but “and gave him a shiner” does unfortunately argue against it. :)
12:30 a.m. The best time to avoid long lines at the atm!
I wonder what she was charging him $200 for?
Exspensive date, and he got a shiner to prove it,lol Will they ever go on another date that could possibly could top this one?
Doesn’t seem likely, I mean, it appears he didn’t pay for this one.
“So, she punched him in the car and gave him a shiner.” Sounds like part of the Thomaston sex scandal.
