NORWAY, Maine — A local woman was charged with operating under the influence late Friday night after driving her car off the road with her two children inside.
Sarah Timm, 36, drove her 2003 Volkswagen Jetta off the road and into a tree on Crockett Ridge Road in Norway, officer James Ventresca said. Witnesses reported Timm’s vehicle driving erratically shortly before the 10:30 p.m. crash, he said.
Ventresca said Timm’s children — ages 7 and 9 — were in the vehicle with her at the time of the crash. He said Timm was northbound on Crockett Ridge Road heading home from the Waterford area.
No one was injured in the crash. Timm was taken to the Oxford County Jail and the children were turned over to their father.
Timm is a third-grade teacher at Agnes Gray Elementary School in West Paris, according to the Oxford Hills School District website.
A teacher? Maybe it was a science experiment to see how bombed ‘Teach’ could get before driving off the road.
I feel bad for the kids. It’s bad enough they had to go through an accident because of their mothers stupidity,then to she he hauled away by the police. Pretty traumatic for young kids.
DHS should be alerted…children forcibly removed from the household and put into state custody until the age of at least 16 no more than 19. The car will be “demolished” per state request. The mother; will go to the womens correctional facility in warren for a prison term of no less than 25 years. The father should be sent to jail also for “enabling” the mother to drive. He will be forced to pay for the emergency and technical services for the accident and forcibly removed from his property before it is ‘destroyed’ per another state request in the meanest and most unbearable way possible – fire. he will be then jailed at charleston correctional facility for no less than 6 months and given over to the “sisters”
the school where she worked will be forced to give up money to lepage’s program cuts twicefold and the superintendent placed on no-compensation leave for one month. the school will also be eventually closed and students bussed to lewiston.

This woman should lose her job as a teacher (how can we trust someone with our children if she can’t be trusted with her own?) and not be allowed to drive with her children in the car unless she can pass a breathalizer.

Sarah Timm, how dare you endanger the lives of your own children, not to mention the lives of others on the road! What a huge mistake and I hope you are horrified of your behavior after you sober up. Get some help for Pete’s sake, you have children to raise!

Sad. Thankfully she killed nobody and hopefully she seeks help for her horribly dangerous decision and rebuilds her reputation and makes serious better choices.
Granted she made a horrific mistake and endangered her kids. And this will and should be addressed in a court of law. But besides bad judgement while intoxicated how does this effect her teaching, unless she is coming to school drunk and hauling kids around. And why should the BDN printing where she works. Let`s hear from parents of kids she taught in the past and if she endangered their kids.
