She decided she wanted to live, work, raise a family and make a difference in Maine after seeing Baxter State Park and Acadia National Park. She believes stereotypes painting her as liberal lawyer from Cape Elizabeth will fall by the wayside when voters get to know her and her story. She points to how she’s worked since she was 14 years old and how she grew up the second youngest of nine children of a single mother.

The fact that Cynthia Dill fell in love with and chose to live among such benighted souls as many who grace these columns shouldn’t be a reason to get on her case, should it? Shouldn’t believers in Maine as the very best place on earth applaud her for making such a wise choice? Or is the infusion of bright, energetic people too big a threat to the trolls? Wow, the trinity: socialist, liberal, progressive. Trouble is it’s well-nigh impossible to be one and the others at the same time, and bright as she is, Cynthia Dill couldn’t manage that! Most would agree she is a liberal Democrat, which at last report is still legal in Maine – even in the second district. By the way, she’s a Maine citizen and has been for years. If being a born Maine citizen is a prerequisite for being a legitimate Mainer, just think: all our first generation of governors legislators and even town officials were once Massachusetts natives. Why, it’s a miracle the place ever got off the ground as a functioning state!

I have been watching her website schedule for evidence of a visit north of Waterville. Haven’t seen a day when when I checked.

Summers would also vote to eliminate Medicare as we know it, handing it over to a confusion of private corporations, and all their bureaucracy and greed.

Yeah, she can’t handle driving 5 hours… People from RI drive maybe three hours to Portland, Cape Richbeth area so that’s what she’s used to. With all her money she would fly. Flying takes about 45 minutes to lets say PI or Caribou. Millinocket is much closer but i think hell would freeze over first. She really could CARE LESS about us !!!
Although now that I think about it…if she would drive up here she would do like 90-100 MPH. Extended camping trip, Is that how the press release is supposed to twist a Grateful Dead concert into a nice quiet camping trip enjoying nature? A Grateful Dead concert is what brought her here. I am not saying anything is wrong with that. That’s great in fact, but don’t twist that like she was camping up in Acadia and hiking on the carriage trails.
Like her or not, one has to agree that she’s neither beholden to or possessor of bottomless pockets of cash. Having a civil rights lawyer in the US Senate would be a refreshing contrast to the usual new crop of corporate bootlickers whose interest in civil rights is limited to boosting uncivil liberties through eradicating laws protecting the public.

He is tied with Mike Michaud for doing absolutely nothing to help small business
His history of working with green groups has always taken priority over “everything”
