WINSLOW, Maine — Students were dismissed from Winslow High School on Thursday morning after a water main break closed the school for the day, according to Principal Doug Carville.

Carville said students were sent home at 9:10 a.m., and classes are expected to resume Friday morning.

“The way it looks now, we’re in fine shape,” Carville said Thursday afternoon.

Officials with the Kennebec Water District have been working throughout the day to rectify the break.
