LEWISTON, Maine — A Lewiston couple were arrested Tuesday after police saw a vehicle in a school parking lot whose occupants were believed to be selling cocaine, Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Stephen McCausland said.

Reynard Eugene Carroll, 29, and his 19-year old girlfriend, Shelby L. Viles, are facing cocaine trafficking charges, McCausland said.

On Tuesday, Maine Drug Enforcement agents and Lewiston police spotted a vehicle in the parking lot of Lewiston Middle School from which two people, including Carroll, were believed to be selling cocaine, said McCausland. When Carroll was questioned, he admitted to possessing cocaine and turned over $700 worth of the drug that was packaged to distribute, according to McCausland.

Carroll also admitted there were more drugs at the Lewiston home he shares with Viles, and a search there turned up 2 ounces of cocaine worth $5,500, as well as $1,000 in cash, McCausland said.

Carroll was booked on charges of aggravated trafficking in cocaine in a school zone, while Viles was charged with aggravated trafficking in cocaine. They were both taken to the Androscoggin County Jail, where Carroll remained on Tuesday. Viles was released on bail.

    1. LOCK them bottom feeders up, making the bail so HIGH… they won”t get out to traffic in the school ground next!! Sellers, are despicable!!

    1. THAT stupid, apparently. Look at them pictures, by Gawd, a combined IQ of about 85. Ya can’t fix stupid.

  1. C’mon now, lets get honest. Police saw what they believed to be a large Black guy with a dumb White girl in a car in a school parking lot and took it from there. LOL Oh, yeah, gotta be careful of that racial profiling stuff, can’t just come out and SAY that. Got no squawk with all that, it was what it was. Two people so stupid they thought it was okay to set in a school lot slinging coke from the car — and likely friends of hers buying it. “The world is full of fools, and he or she who would not see it should live alone and smash the mirror.” AARRGGHH!!

  2. Ordinarily I go with “Innocent until proven guilty” and it does sound like some profiling was involved, and I usually don’t resort to name calling, but honestly, the only comment I can come up with is IDIOTS
