BANGOR, Maine — A Bangor woman who allegedly threatened a family member with a knife on Thanksgiving Day finished off the holiday in jail, according to police.
Ashley Shedd, 26, was charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence criminal threatening, according to Bangor police Lt. Steve Hunt.
Officers Tim Shaw, Kevin Haefele and Paul Colley responded to a Parkview Avenue residence late Thursday afternoon after it was reported a woman there was threatening to kill herself and family members with the knife, Hunt said Friday morning, citing a police report.
Shedd was arrested and taken to the Penobscot County Jail, according to Hunt. The criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon charge is a Class C felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
Shedd remained at the jail Friday morning.
