HANCOCK, Maine — A local man is facing charges after he allegedly exposed himself to two young boys, according to police.
Joseph Torrey, 20, was baby-sitting the two boys in October at a home in Hancock when the alleged incident occurred, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department indicated Thursday in a brief prepared statement. The boys’ mother contacted police to report the incident.
Detective Steve McFarland of the Hancock County District Attorney’s Office investigated the incident and on Wednesday arrested Torrey on two counts of visual sexual aggression against a child, according to the sheriff’s department.
Information about whether Torrey was still being held Thursday at Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth was not immediately available.

We have such hang ups about naked people . If the kids just saw him naked no bit deal if he intentionally flashed that might be different.

What a sick man.. Its always been the idea that females babysit children, maybe it should stay that way. Plus.. who lets a 20 year old young man that obviously hasn’t matured by age yet watch kids? Shame on himself, and the parents.
Some male babysitters can do a better job then a female babysitter. sickness/pedophilia doesn’t bias based on Gender. Sorry to say.
I agree with you Sir, not all people are the same. But just my advice, dont let college age men babysit kids, most of them aren’t fully matured yet.
For all we know this college age kid could be enrolled in a program for early childhood education.

This is a very strong point. Some males make excellent babysitters and devote themselves to a career in child care. Perhaps not in this case, but it isn’t as uncommon as some might like to think.
That’s an incredibly unfair generalization to make.
My sister has 2 little boys and she has both male and female babysitters for them – all of them are in their late teens. Sometimes the boys like having a male “babysitter” because I think they are more likely to rough-house with them. It also provides the boys with another “suitable” male role model, which is always a good thing in today’s society!
Don’t judge some one based on age or sex — judge them on themselves, and you might be pleasantly surprised!
Hmm, babysitters in my day were one of the neighbors daughters who was still in HS, — guys didn’t babysit at all, ever — and we.usually went school with her younger siblings. Just for the sake of argument, and the fine detailed article as usual. give a fair trial before hanging him… Couldn’t have been just tucking in a long shirt, maybe got his shirt-front wet and tried to rearrange himself?
Gotta admit it stretches the imagination why he had to do anything that involved the kids seeing all that…. Okay, enough palavering, he’s had the trial. Hang him.
thats not true or fair,I baby set when I was young because I was the oldest.now someone 20 years old baby setting is strange.but to say guys never babyset is not true,maybe for you personaly but you can’t talk for all.and there is no excuse those children seeing this guy naked at all.and remember that woman teacher got pregnet by a 13 year old and she was his teacher so to put this kind of behavior on to just males is simply not true.
Pally, I wasn’t saying anything about the rest of the world — that’s how things were in my neighborhood when I was a kid. Wasn’t talking about the whole world. =)
