LINCOLNVILLE, Maine — A man reportedly broke into the Lincolnville home of a Maine State Police employee Friday evening and assaulted one of the homeowners until deputies came to the scene and took him into custody.

David Klim, 50, of Lincolnville apparently broke into the North Cobbtown Road house at about 7 p.m. Friday, according to a press release issued Sunday evening by the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responding to an emergency 911 call reporting the assault arrived and got Klim into custody within 10 minutes of the call.

Klim was charged with aggravated assault and aggravated criminal trespass. He was taken to Waldo County Jail to be booked, and remained there Sunday evening, according to the release.
