Christian rock will return to the Bangor Waterfront this summer, as the annual SoulQuest tour makes a Saturday, Sept. 14, stop at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion. The tour features the bands Casting Crowns, Kutless and the Wrecking, as well as a few others to be announced, and tickets go on sale on Friday, May 10. They range in price from $27.75 to $77.75, plus applicable processing fees.

Atlanta-based Casting Crowns has been one of the most popular Christian music acts of the last decade, with vocalist and songwriter Mark Hall’s passionate delivery and relatable songs. Since its launch in 2003, the band has garnered 14 GMA Dove Awards, three Grammy Awards and an American Music Award. In addition, the band has won three RIAA Platinum Albums, two RIAA Platinum DVDs, two RIAA Gold Albums and two Gold DVDs. Casting Crowns has sold more than 8.2 million albums to date (according to Nielsen SoundScan) and has been named Billboard magazine’s top-selling Christian act for the past four years.
