STOCKHOLM AND BANGOR – Albertine Lillian (Anderson) Jepson, 93, passed away and into the arms of her Lord, Friday, June 14, 2013 in Bangor, with her daughter, Sue, by her side. She was born May 12, 1920, in New Sweden, the daughter of Albert and Minnie Anderson.
She married Hartley Jepson, April 30, 1940. Together they ran a farm in Stockholm. Later Tina worked as a town clerk for Stockholm and as a CNA at the Caribou Nursing Home, work which she thoroughly enjoyed and she was so proud of this accomplishment. Upon their retirement, they lived at Madawaska Lake and “went south” to Brewer for the winters. Tina was a longtime member of Stockholm Baptist Church and attended Columbia Street Baptist Church in Bangor.
Tina is survived by her three daughters, Janet and husband, Stuart Burtchell, of Fort Fairfield, Barb and husband, KC Rider, of Emporia, Kan., and Sue and husband, Wayde Leighton, of Hampden. “Nannie” will be missed by her eight grandchildren, Kevin, Kurt and Keith Forsman, Jeanne (Rider) Zahn, Jodi (Rider) Hess, Jayne (Rider) Hamilton, Christine (Leighton) Hazard, and Aimee Leighton. She also is survived by 22 great-grandchildren. Tina was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Fred and Laverne Anderson, sisters, Arlene Espling and Lorraine Grant, son-in-law, Larry Forsman; and her husband of 67 years in 2007. She was a resident of Bangor Nursing & Rehab for eight years and will be greatly missed there by the nurses who loved her dearly and took great care of her. She always had a beautiful smile and a hug.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, Caribou. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Stockholm Baptist Church.
