BANGOR, Maine — Painting work on the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge will continue through Nov. 15, and traffic from Bangor to Brewer will continue to be detoured.
Traffic on the bridge is reduced to one lane, going from Brewer to Bangor. Those wishing to go from Bangor to Brewer must use the I-395 or Penobscot bridges.
Other city projects include MDOT replacing I-95 guardrails from Hammond Street to Essex Street through the end of October; sewer work on Union Street at Sanford Street, which started Monday; construction of a new sidewalk on Griffin Road between Union Street and Maine Avenue starting July 25 and paving on Ohio Street, starting Tuesday.
