BREWER, Maine — A Dexter man is facing multiple charges after a theft at Walmart last week, police said.

Jason David Clark, 30, is facing a felony theft charge due to prior convictions, according to Brewer Deputy Chief Jason Moffitt.

Moffitt said Clark has been known to target Walmart stores in the area for shoplifting and thefts. Details of his previous crimes were not available.

On Wednesday, Clark allegedly took $7 worth of items from the shelves of the Brewer Walmart, and part of his bail conditions indicate he is not to enter any Walmart, Moffitt said.

Clark was placed under arrest and charged with theft and violation of condition of release, Moffitt said. He was brought to Penobscot County Jail.

According to BDN court archives, Clark was arrested in 2011 by Maine Drug Enforcement Agents after he allegedly sold painkillers to an undercover officer.
