BANGOR, Maine — A local police officer got an early Thanksgiving surprise on Wednesday morning.

Officer Nick Huggins was working his overnight shift when he got called off the road at about 2:30 a.m. and told he had to return to the station for some training.

When the officer arrived in the training room, he got the ultimate surprise in an early homecoming from his brother, Chris.

Chris Huggins, a Private First Class in the U.S. Army, had been stationed in South Korea for the past year, and was due to return home in time for Thanksgiving.

Chris Huggins found a way to return home early, however, and surprised his brother at the Bangor police station.
