REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Bernadette Caron, 85, died Feb. 17, 2014, after a long illness. She married Hamel R. Caron in Fort Kent, on Aug. 29, 1949. She and her husband raised their children and lived in Caribou for their working years and then moved to the Palm Springs, Calif., area for their retirement years.
Her longest and most accomplished job was making a home and raising her two children.
In addition to her husband of 64 years, she is survived by her son, Aldon R. Caron of Redwood City, Calif., and his life partner, Maria Tovar; daughter, Paula A. Caron of Grantham, N.H., and her husband, Stephen Looney; and one grandson, Nicholas H. Kierstead of Leadville, Colo.
Services and interment of her ashes will be held at a later date at the VA cemetery in Caribou.
