WINTHROP, Maine — Police on Wednesday continue to search for a man who robbed a Winthrop convenience store in his pajamas early Tuesday.

The gun-wielding robber managed to flee the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Winthrop police Detective Peter Struck said Wednesday police have gotten a few tips.

“We’re just following up leads right now and going from there,” the detective said.

Struck added there’s no indication that the robber may be from the area.

The robber is a white male in his early 20s standing between 5-foot-7 and 6 feet tall, Young said. He has brown eyes, was wearing a white mask, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with “Support the Twins” on the back, bright green pajama bottoms and white sneakers.

Anyone who sees the robber should call Winthrop police at 377-7227.
