ORRINGTON, Maine — Delays can be expected on Route 15 this week while a railroad crossing is rehabilitated, according to MDOT officials.

The project will start 1.5 miles north of Center Drive and work will begin Wednesday, according to MDOT spokesman Ted Talbot.

The work will include removing pavement 5 feet from the rails and putting down new pavement on each side to provide a safer crossing.

Delays are expected and flaggers will be on site.

Work should be completed by July 1.
