THOMASTON, Maine — The Board of Selectmen are expected to choose one of two applicants Monday night for a vacant seat on the school board.
The board is scheduled to consider the appointment of either Noreen Mullaney or Ronald Gamage to represent the town on the Regional School Unit 13 board.
The person selected would succeed Marla McGeady, who resigned earlier this month. The appointed candidate’s term would run through June 2015.
McGeady was appointed to the seat by selectmen in October 2013. She won a three-year seat in June through a write-in effort.
The town has two seats on the 12-member board that also includes representatives from Rockland, St. George, Owls Head, South Thomaston and Cushing.
The selectmen’s meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Watts Hall.
