PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — An arrest was made late Monday morning in Presque Isle hours after a Maine State Police negotiating team responded to a “critical incident,” according to Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

McCausland said he did not know the identity of the young male who was arrested but added details would be made available later in the day.

Few details were available on the location or nature of the incident, but McCausland said it began sometime before dawn and the Presque Isle Police Department had requested assistance from the state police.
