HARBORSIDE AND BREWER – Patricia Anne Boudreau, 82, of Harborside and Brewer, passed away peacefully at home on December 20, 2014. She was born on November 5, 1932, in Wakefield, Massachusetts, the daughter of Philip and Anna (Tapley) Cotton.
Patricia was raised in the coastal community of Brooksville. She was a member of Brooksville, Blue Hill and Castine Historical Societies, Hancock County and New England Genealogical Societies, Wilson Museum of Castine and Blue Hill Country Club. She enjoyed volunteering at Brooksville Historical Society as a docent and caretaker of historical gardens. She visited many people in Hancock County as a hospice volunteer.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Edgar Alexander Boudreau, in 1985. Surviving are five daughters; Kathryn Crawford and her husband, Darrell of Eddington; Kim Dennis and her husband, Mark of Saco; Karen Davis and her husband, Tim of Hudson; Annette Betts and her husband, David of Orrington, and Anita Mower and her husband, Todd of Orrington. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Kevin Walton and his wife, Cyndi of Ellsworth; Keith Walton, and his wife, Rachael, and their daughter, Evelyn of Kent, Washington; Joshua Dennis and his wife, Marie, and their son, Zachary of Salt Lake City, Utah; Joseph Dennis of Saco; Jenifer Davis and her fiancé, Rob Longoria, and their son, Elijah of Bangor; Timothy Davis II of Brewer; Daniel Betts and his wife, Twila of Holden; Dylan Betts of Bucksport; and Alexandra Mower of Orrington. Also surviving are a brother, Donald Cotton and his wife, Irene of Huntington Beach, California; a sister, Joyce Scoggins and her husband, Marvin of Eufaula, Oklahoma, several aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.
Patricia published two books on the Tapley and the Cotton family genealogies. She was a talented artist who gifted her paintings to friends, family, and community. Patricia treasured summers spent with her family and grandchildren in Harborside by sharing her love of piano, steel drum music, painting, golf, family ancestry and shoreline hikes.
A service of remembrance will be held at West Brooksville Congregational Church, 1597 Coastal Road, West Brooksville, on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 1 p.m. A private interment will wait for spring’s warmth at Mt. Rest Cemetery in Brooksville.
