BANGOR — Penobscot Theatre Company, Acadia Repertory Theatre, and ImprovAcadia will hold jointly a general open call for union and nonunion actors aged 18 and older who wish to be considered for upcoming productions. Bangor Unified Auditions will take place 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at Penobscot Theatre Company’s home at the Bangor Opera House, 131 Main St.

“This will be our second year hosting these joint auditions. Each of the three companies found the auditions to be extremely beneficial last year,” said Bari Newport, producing artistic director of Penobscot Theatre Company. “We were able to solve immediate casting challenges, and also able to meet some extraordinary people who will certainly solve challenges in the future. It’s just great to know who’s out there. We are holding the auditions earlier this year, so that the two summer companies have the opportunity to fill more positions locally.”

Penobscot Theatre Company welcomes will audition union and nonunion, local and nonlocal adult actors interested in being considered for PTC’s 2015-2016 season.

Additional auditions, including auditions for youth will be held May 16-17.
