BANGOR, Maine — A man was hospitalized Tuesday night for treatment of a gunshot wound, according to police.
The 23-year-old man’s name was not revealed and he was last known to be in stable condition at Eastern Maine Medical Center, according to Bangor police Sgt. Tim Cotton.
The incident happened shortly after 8 p.m. at a Blue Hill West residence, according to Cotton.
Another man had called 911 to report that he had accidentally discharged a firearm and stated his friend had been shot.
Bangor police are investigating the matter further and the investigation is expected to continue throughout the day Wednesday.
