PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — A former Presque Isle resident was brought back to Aroostook County on Monday after being arrested in Saco for sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl, according to Matthew Irwin, Presque Isle police chief.
Kyle Green, 33, was arrested by Detective William Scull of the Presque Isle Police Department with assistance from officers with the Saco Police Department and charged with four counts of sexual abuse of a minor.
On Monday, Irwin said the investigation of Green began when Presque Isle police heard allegations involving a girl during a visit to Presque Isle last year.
“The ensuing investigation revealed numerous electronic communications which have aided in corroborating the victim’s allegations,” Irwin said. “Currently [there is] no further information or reason to believe there may be additional victims.”
However, Irwin did say cases involving people who travel places to sexually abuse children can involve multiple victims.
“If anyone believes they are or know a victim of a sex crime, please contact your local law enforcement agency,” he said.
Green was unable to post $2,500 cash bail and was taken to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton, Irwin said.
His first court appearance is Feb. 13.
