PORTLAND, Maine — Work crews are investigating the source of a gas leak at a small grocer located near the State Theatre and Portland Museum of Art, a police officer said Saturday morning.
The call for assistance was made at 8:37 a.m. from Paul’s Food Center at 585 Congress St., which was evacuated.
“There apparently is some leaking from the sewer, so they’re digging to find it,” the officer said.
