HARTLAND, Maine — Crews from three towns were able to quickly contain a small fire at the Tasman Leather Group Tannery on Monday, Hartland Assistant Fire Chief Charles Gould said.
Gould said the fire originated in a buffing dust system, but it was contained in minutes, causing minimal damage.
Firefighters from Hartland, Canaan and St. Albans were called to the scene shortly after 7:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
