ORONO, Maine — The University of Maine football team will begin its spring practice schedule at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at Alfond Stadium.
The Black Bears are coming off a 5-6 season, and 4-4 in the Colonial Athletic Association.
All practices are open to the public as the Black Bears encourage fans to come out and get an early glimpse at the 2015 squad.
Practices run through April and conclude with the Jeff Cole scrimmage at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 2.

Husson teams make schedule changes
The Husson University baseball game against Bates College on Wednesday has been cancelled because the Winkin Complex in Bangor is still unplayable despite snow removal efforts.
The Eagles hope to play their home opener against the University of Maine at Farmington in a doubleheader at 2 p.m. Friday.
Husson’s men’s lacrosse team also has made a schedule change as Lyndon State will now be visiting the Braves’ Boucher Field in Bangor at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Lyndon State’s field in Vermont is still covered with snow.
