TROY, Maine — Nearly three weeks after a 49-year-old Troy man was found dead inside his home, police are providing no additional information on the case.
Though police won’t say whether they consider the death suspicious, Maine Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said Friday that the case remains under investigation and that there is nothing new to report.
Steven Hodgdon was found dead at his 188 Rutland Road residence when Waldo County sheriff’s office deputies arrived there shortly after being called out to the home at 2:30 a.m. on March 7.
Police have not said who called them or what the nature of the call was. The man lived at the home with his teenage son, but police have not said whether the son was home or not when officers arrived.
An autopsy was done on Hodgdon but the Maine Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the cause of death.
