ROCKLAND, Maine — Twenty-one people were indicted by the Knox County grand jury that completed its work on Wednesday and nearly all the defendants are Maine State Prisoners.
The offenses mainly involve alleged assaults by prisoners against corrections officers or other inmates, or pertain to relatives of inmates trying to smuggle drugs into the prison.
The people indicted in connection with the prison and the charges against them are:
Steven R. Griffin, 20, Maine State Prison in Warren, assault on an officer on Nov. 2.
Tyler D. Uehling, 26, Maine State Prison, assault on an officer, assault, criminal mischief.
Roscoe B. Sargent, 41, Maine State Prison, assault on an officer, assault, trafficking in prison contraband — a shiv made out of a toothbrush and attached blade on Oct. 2.
Ryan Lane, 21, Maine State Prison, assault on an officer on Jan. 11.
Peter E. Gibbs, 49, Maine State Prison, assault on an officer on Oct. 10, 2013.
Justin J. Barry, 19, Maine State Prison, two counts assault on an officer on Feb. 24.
Robert J. Carroll, 24, Bath, assault on a corrections officer on Aug. 28.
Angela Jean Gagnon-Croteau, 31, Biddeford, two counts of trafficking in prison contraband and one count of possession of Suboxone on March 6 in Warren.
Joshua M. Croteau, 24, Maine State Prison, two counts of trafficking in prison contraband and one count of possession of Suboxone on March 6 in Warren.
Lawrence J. Church Jr., 27, Maine State Prison, trafficking in Suboxone on Sept. 28.
Emily M. Roeske-Church, 28, Pittsfield, trafficking in prison contraband and possession of Suboxone on Sept. 28.
Michelle Collette Carmack-Belmer, 38, Biddeford, trafficking in prison contraband and conspiracy to bring Suboxone into the prison on Sept. 28.
Kristopher M. McWilliams, 26, Maine State Prison, trafficking in prison contraband and attempted trafficking in prison contraband (Suboxone) on Oct. 15.
Lisa G. McWilliams, 49, Auburn, trafficking in prison contraband (Suboxone) on Oct. 15.

James Prescott, 38, Warren, sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of possession of sexually explicit materials.
Ryan Rairdon, 26, Vinalhaven, trafficking in methamphetamine on Jan. 7 on Vinalhaven.
Hilary Walker, 20, Vinalhaven, trafficking in methamphetamine on Jan. 7 on Vinalhaven.
Katie Clarke, also known as Katie Matthews, 27, Rockland, trafficking in Suboxone on Feb. 21 in Warren.
Robert Colpritt, 39, Warren, trafficking in oxycodone on Dec. 29 in Warren.
Chad A. Young, 36, Rockland, criminal operating under the influence, operating after suspension, and possession of Suboxone on Feb. 6 in Rockland.
Suzanne M. Gardner, 49, Rockland, operating after revocation on Oct. 12 in Rockland.
