DEXTER – Marie L. Pozniak, 88, died April 27, 2015, at a Dexter health care facility. She was born August 23, 1926, in Bangor, a daughter of Joseph and Freda (Thomas) Nichols.
She graduated from John Bapst High School and was a lifelong communicant of St. John’s Parish. After nursing school, Marie worked for many years at Thayer Hospital in Waterville. She will be remembered for having a kind heart.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Patricia Jurkenas of Brewer; and a special niece, Jane Newell. She was predeceased by her sister, Alice Nouhan.
A graveside committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter. Those who wish may leave written condolences at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
