Vanished: The untold, unsolved case of Jessie Hoover is a digital project by the Bangor Daily News that will launch May 7.
It is about Hoover, a hiker on the Appalachian Trail who is believed to have disappeared somewhere in the 100-Mile Wilderness. Hoover was last heard from on May 16, 1983.
