BANGOR, Maine — A popular city restaurant, Captain Nick’s, has closed its doors, according to reports.

According to a report from WABI-TV, the Union Street restaurant has been sold to RH Foster. The business was leased to Joseph Hackett, a Caribou native, two years ago, according to the report.

The restaurant opened in 1985.

BDN sports freelancer Ryan McLaughlin grew up in Brewer and is a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins.
