HERMON, Maine — One of three people who were injured in a single-vehicle crash Thursday night on Annis Road has died, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.

Nick Frenette, 20, died from injuries he suffered in the accident, which happened shortly after 9 p.m., Chief Deputy William Sheehan said Friday evening in a news release.

Frenette was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Keith Austin of Bangor. Austin and Sarah Hawkins, 20, of Hermon also were injured.

All three people were brought to Eastern Maine Medical Center after the crash, Sheehan said.

The accident remains under investigation.
