ORONO, Maine — Four people suffered what police believed were minor injuries on Sunday when a Jeep collided with a pickup truck on Bennoch Road, police said.
Katie Marquis said she, her husband, Greg Marquis, and their daughter, Jessica Snyder, were traveling toward Orono in the pickup truck when the accident occurred about 11 a.m. Police said it appeared that the Jeep veered slightly into the oncoming lane and the two vehicles collided.
The pickup stopped in the oncoming lane, she said. The Jeep came to rest down a slope off the west side of the road. Firefighters had to carry an unidentified woman out of the vehicle. She was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
Police declined to identify her early Sunday afternoon.
Greg Marquis suffered a minor knee injury, and Katie Marquis said she had some back pain. Their daughter suffered bumps and bruises.
