ORONO, Maine — One person was hospitalized Sunday in a collision on Bennoch Road in Orono, according to police.

Angelina Canburo, 44, of Windsor was heading toward Old Town when she apparently veered into the opposite lane and struck a pickup driven by Gregory Marquis, 57, of Old Town, Orono Police Chief Josh Ewing said Monday.

The crash occurred shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday near 140 Bennoch Road, the chief said.

Canburo was traveling solo while Marquis had his wife, Kathryne, 50, and daughter, Jessie Snyder, 29, in his vehicle, Ewing said.

Canburo was transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center with minor injuries. No one else required hospitalization. No charges are expected.
