BANGOR, Maine — Two Canadian women suffered minor injuries Saturday morning in a motorcycle accident on Broadway, according to Bangor police.
Diane Jamieson, 49, of London, Ontario, and Janet Duncan, 57, of Ingersoll, Ontario, were traveling north in the same lane about 10:30 a.m., Lt. Steven Hunt said Saturday afternoon.
Hunt also said that motorcycles traveling in the same lane on Route 15 is legal.
The women were treated at the scene for superficial injuries and released, he said. The motorcycles weren’t damaged.
When Jamieson turned right into the Broadway Shopping Center, Duncan, who was behind her traveling companion, misjudged the distance and struck Jamieson.
One lane of Broadway was shut down for about 15 minutes, Hunt said.
