BANGOR, Maine — A Corinth woman will spend two years in jail after she was sentenced on a federal drug charge Monday, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Krystal Bell, 29, was also sentenced to three years of supervised release once she completes a prison term for possession with intent to distribute bath salts, along with a $1,000 fine.
Bell pleaded guilty to the charge on Feb. 13.
According to court documents, Bell went to a St. Albans post office in May 2014 to pick up a package mailed from China, and was subsequently stopped by police believing the package contained bath salts.
Bell had told the agents she agreed to pick up the drugs for another person.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service and Maine Drug Enforcement Agency investigated the case.
