STONINGTON, Maine — The body of a missing Hancock County man was found early Tuesday morning, officials said.

Bruce Greenlaw, 71, of Deer Isle had been reported missing on Monday and apparently suffered a medical episode, according to Maine Warden Service Cpl. John MacDonald.

Greenlaw had last been seen at 3:30 p.m. Monday on the Park Road when he went to check on some machinery in the woods and failed to return, MacDonald said. Greenlaw’s body was found at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday.

Search efforts were performed by the Warden Service, Maine Association for Search and Rescue, the Stonington Fire Department and Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
