BANGOR, Maine — Work along the Union Street bridge over Interstate 95 will force lane closures on both sides of the highway next week, according to the Maine Department of Transportation.
The entire northbound lane and the passing lane of the southbound side will be shut down between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday, while the southbound lanes, northbound passing lane and southbound on-ramp will be shut down between the same hours Tuesday and Wednesday.
Lastly, each travel lane will close between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Thursday.
In addition, bridge maintenance work on Route 24 in Gardiner will limit the bridge to one lane of traffic from Monday through Sept. 25.
