BANGOR, Maine — City police are seeking those responsible for stealing a donation jar from the Bangor Public Library.
According to a post on the Bangor Police Department Facebook page, the jar was secured to the counter “but the [suspects] apparently spent a little time there” freeing the jar before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
“If you have a change of heart or would like to apologize to the folks at the library and return the cash, I will support you emotionally,” the post read.
Anyone with information on the case can call Bangor police at 947-7384 and choose option 6 to use the department’s tip line, or send the department a message on Facebook.
