HOLDEN, Maine — Officials are investigating a tractor fire that occurred at a Wiswell Road residence Wednesday morning, according to Holden police Chief Chris Greeley.
The fire was reported around 9 a.m. and was extinguished quickly by Holden firefighters.
Greeley said state police and the state fire marshal’s office have been called in to investigate because of the likelihood of foul play.
“We believe the incident was an act of arson, so we called in the state police to do a canine track,” Greeley said.
The chief added crews are expected to be investigating the remainder of the day Wednesday.
