BANGOR, Maine — City police on Thursday afternoon said very little new information was available about a 2-year-old girl who died Wednesday.
Bangor police Sgt. Tim Cotton did say that the child’s death does not appear to be suspicious.
State protocol requires an investigation every time a child age 3 or under dies.
Cotton said Wednesday that police and rescue personnel went to a Center Street address that morning for a report of “a child in breathing distress,” and the child did not survive.
