WISCASSET, Maine — A Wiscasset woman was issued a criminal summons following a three-car accident on Gardiner Road in Wiscasset that sent her to the hospital the afternoon of Thursday, Dec. 17.
Allyson Lambert, 19, of Wiscasset, was charged with operating while license suspended and/or revoked, a class E misdemeanor, following the accident that sent her to Mid Coast Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to a press release from Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline.
Lambert, operating a 2000 Nissan Maxima, was attempting to cross Gardiner Road from Hooper Street in the westwardly direction shortly before 2:00 p.m., Cline wrote in the press release.
Lambert did not see the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee, operated by Phillip Harrington, 28, of Boothbay, traveling on Gardiner Road (Route 27) and was struck by it, Cline wrote.
The collision caused Lambert’s vehicle to also strike the rear bumper of a Honda SUV, operated by Christina Doray, 34, of Dresden, which sustained minor damage.
Lambert’s and Harrington’s vehicles came to a rest on the grass adjacent to Hooper Street between Churchill Street and Gardiner Road. Lambert was transported to Mid Coast Hospital by the Wiscasset Ambulance Service.
Neither Harrington nor Doray were injured in the accident. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Wiscasset Fire Department also responded to the scene, which was cleared in approximately one hour.
Both Lambert’s and Harrington’s vehicles sustained significant damage and needed to be towed from the scene. Lambert is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 28.
